Dr. Jamie Knox was born and raised in a small community near the town of Giddings, Texas. During High School she realized her passion for caring for others and chose Dentistry as her profession. She attended the University of Texas at San Antonio and was accepted into the dental early admissions program. It was there she received her undergraduate degree in Biology. Dr. Knox went on to attend the the University of Texas Health Science Center school of dentistry and graduated in 2008. Additionally, she completed a one year post-doctoral advanced education in general dentistry program where she gained experience working on medically compromised patients as well as more advanced skills such as oral and Intravenous conscious sedation, pain control, implant placement and restoration as well as full mouth rehabilitation.
As a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental association, San Antonio District Dental Society and the Texas Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Knox makes yearly continuing education a priority to stay up-to-date with changes in the field of dentistry. Her main objective in dentistry above all is to make patients feel at home and be as comfortable as possible while meeting treatment goals.
Dr. Knox now calls Garden Ridge home and is married to her wonderful husband, Justin Knox. They are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Joshua and Juliana. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family , volunteering/giving back to the community and a diverse number of hobbies such as fitness, baking, photography, painting, sewing, crafting, etc.
